Well-known sculptor Tauno Kangro and his businessmen friends have come to an idea to create a monumental statue of Kalevipoeg, a hero in Estonian national epic, in the Bay of Tallinn. This has brought along sharp criticism.
It is the year of 2000. Despite of the fact that lots of work has been already done, the final solution is still far away. The disputing parties will never agree due to different aesthetic attitudes, and there are various suspicions on the issue which authority the statue will embody.
